"The Shrimp with Vegetable had a very curious, slimy consistency, which was the opposite of appetizing, and was nigh flavorless. The "fried rice" was flavorless brown rice, and the egg rolls were very mushy. My coworkers and I will not be ordering from China City again."

"Staff was very rude. The menu was confusing and we thought the Broccoli in Spicy Sauce came with Tofu since it was on that page. When we asked about it the server kept repeating there is no tofu you have to pay for that. She proceeded to get agitated and brought over a menu and said “show me where.” Very rude and didn’t even ask if we wanted to order a side of Tofu. Strange approach to service. Overall the broccoli was Ok, the Kung Pao chicken was over salted and the egg drop soup was inedible. This place has definitely changed and not for the better."

"China City has gone downhill. I've ordered here for years and it used to be very good. (At some point they got new owners.)Just ordered chicken fried rice and spring rolls. Rice was very bland and spring rolls tasteless. I've had fried rice from other places that tasted a lot better and you didn't have to add soy sauce to it to give it some flavor. (Thai Gourmet Stow) I've ordered the cashew chicken too and the celery was pretty much raw and a LOT of it. Also, their prices have gone up about 6 bucks or more on dinners, while the quality severely diminished."

"*Let me preface this review with the warning that this isn't your typical American Chinese restaurant. Not as much strong, thick sauces as American Chinese - Which I love too, but if you go in with different expectations, then you may love it as much as we did. What a great experience! Authentic Chinese and many options that aren't available unless you want to make the hike to Cleveland. We dined in and had Spring Rolls, Kung Pao Lotus Root, and Fried Salt & Pepper Tofu. It was all outstanding! The lotus root was my favorite since it was a new experience for me. It reminded me somewhat of bamboo shoots. You have the option of white or fried rice - remember, when I said it wasn't like the typical American-Chinese restaurant, because the fried rice won't be as heavy on butter. I ended up liking the white rice more and having the Kung Pau sauce take over. We will be back next week because this menu is massive. My wife is vegetarian and there are many options. I would eventually like to try some of the meat options too."

"We went here for the first time, tonight… it was awesome. I love salt & pepper shrimp and it was legitimately the best I’ve had. I would’ve preferred with shells, but it was excellent. Also everything was hot, which I always appreciate, and veg weren’t floppy and overcooked. My 16 yr old is an adventurous eater and the 11 yr old is pickier and both enjoyed it a lot."
