“We celebrate special birthdays at our company and one of our employees requested Big10 as their birthday lunch. Having never eaten there before I wasn't sure what to expect but I put my request in for them to cater a lunch for around 30 people to be available for 1pm. The ordering process was quick and easy and the pricing was extremely reasonable. in all honesty we were not expecting them to be able to accommodate our corporate lunch request, but they did. We collected the food at 1pm from the shop. the food was perfectly packed and they even allowed us use of their thermal bags which kept the food hot. we served up the food (of which there was ample) to our staff. we had, ribs, three different flavours of chicken wings, flavoured fries and coleslaw. the food was some of the most flavoursome I have ever had. the meat on the ribs was so succulent falling from bone with ease. the chicken wings also bursting with flavour. even the staple fries and coleslaw were next level nice. everyone who had the lunch expressed that it was some of the nicest they have ever had. I now have ample requests from staff for big10 to be their birthday lunch. Thank you to Rich and the team at Big10 for such amazing food and service.”

“4 of us visited on a Sunday lunchtime it was very busy our table was pre booked so we were escorted to our table. The menu has the usual Sunday roast plus chef specials, when the food came we were not disappointed we had huge portions and we all ordered something different our food was lovely. This pub is worth a visit it's family friendly and great value for money.”

“Never had a bad experience here. The staff are always a delight and the food is amazing. Nice thick cuts and the Yorkshires made in-house a crisp and fluffy. The roast potatoes and parsnips were amazing and the veg perfect. Very highly recommended wouldn't go anywhere else for a carvery and it beats toby hands down. Keep up the good work 11/10”

“Superb evening meal whilst staying in the Premier Inn next door. Restaurant was lovely laid out, staff were quick to seat us and attend to our drinks order, before allowing us time to decide on our meals. Food arrived promptly and was piping hot and delicious. Service was excellent and the food was first class. An added bonus was a live singer on the Saturday night so an excellent surprise. Lauren our server was superb, polite, attentive and quick, managing several tables at a time. A credit to Greene king.”

“We have only popped in here for a quick drink a few times so decided to have a carvery. It was one of the nicest we have had. Nice and hot, freshly cooked and really reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and the bar and restaurant area is always kept clean and tidy. Outside has a nice area overlooking the lake, ideal for the summer. Remember to enter your car reg at the bar to avoid any parking fines. We have added this to our regular venues to visit.”

“Absolutely fantastic meal was had last night and cooked to perfection by a Michelin starred chef in the making. Extremely considerate staff who took the whole process personally. “Popped in to the Black Rock Grill @ The Manor Hotel On a wifely whim. Loved the look of the pub and the restaurant side was set up nicely. The wife and I both had the ribeye. The roasted veg was amazing! I could have a giant bowl of just them. My curly fries were a good accompaniment but wife said jacket potato was great too. As for the steak, well as the wife said, "best steak I've ever cooked." Was a good sized potion with salt, pepper, and spices on the side. If you've never had a hot rock rock steak, they bring you a hunk of meat on rock that's heated to about 230° and you cook it yourself. If you hear anyone complaining about smoking or meat sticking I would avoid their cooking. If the meat sticks to the rock it's still cooking. If it's smoking you've probably done something silly like add butter or peppercorn sauce to the hot rock. Kids had fish fingers (two as long as my three year olds arm) and chicken nuggets which I ate half of because my daughter kept stealing my steak. We had a burnt ends starter which was great as well. We are excited to go back as there's so many other things on the menu we can't wait to try.”
