Currently, the Lake Michie and Little River Raw Water Pump Station Improvements project is underway, with a total cost of $70 million. This project will include new pumps, piping, valves, electrical gear, wiring, HVAC, lighting, instrumentation, and architectural improvements. The institution offers various outdoor recreational opportunities, including camping at the Spruce Pine Lodge and Holly Grove campsites within the Lake Michie Recreation Area.
