Larson's Fine Furniture
Larson's Fine Furniture is a family-owned institution located at 152 John Erwin Road in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Founded by Dick and Carol Larson in 2001, the store offers handcrafted furniture that blends the beauty of naturally finished hardwoods with unique sculpture and hand-carving in timeless styles. Dick, a retired general surgeon turned full-time furniture maker, personally designs, crafts, and finishes each piece with meticulous attention to detail. The furniture at Larson's Fine Furniture is created using traditional joinery techniques and features handwork in both the joinery and shaping of structural elements. The pieces are finished with eight coats of Tung Oil based finish, hand-rubbed to highlight the warm, natural beauty and grain of the select hardwoods. Some of the woods used are reclaimed from the bottom of Lake Superior, providing exceptional color and grain from our virgin forests.
