Duke Imaging Heritage (Freestanding)

"The faculty were so welcoming. I waited less than 5 minutes. My mammogram technician was so kind. She was so kind during something I had no desire to go do. Thank you for being so caring!!"

"First called at 8:45 said that the system was experiencing issues and couldn't except the call. I called again at 10:45 and had to wait 14 minutes before someone picked up. I said I was calling to make an imaging appointment because of orders that were sent to them. The appointment specialist replied, "you are calling about the ultrasound images for you legs, correct?" How she came up with that is beyond me, when it clearly said wrist. I replied, "It is for the hands/wrists." Then she saw her mistake. She then said she had to make a call to the imaging department to schedule it which I wasn't sure why. When she returned back she said the earlier apot would be on 8/26. That's ridiculous. Additional, The original orders were never posted when my doctor had faxed them over the week of June 20th. So another ding against them. When I did finalize the appointment, I made it for Wednesday, 8/31, and again the specialist said, "ok your appointment will be on Tuesday 8/31." I of course needed to make sure that the appointment was made for Wednesday."

"With the low rating, I was wary of going here but it was the only place with openings in the area. I arrived and reception was very pleasant, checking in was easy, and the wait was no more than 10 minutes. The ultrasound technician was nice, communicative, and very thorough. Definitely recommend based on my experience."

"I have had 3 mammograms and X-rays performed here. All of the technicians are extremely friendly , caring and helpful. There is no wait time before they call you in. My insurance has been filed quickly and efficiently.The bathroom and the changing rooms are very clean. I highly recommend Duke Heritage Radiololgy."

"Facilty is clean and well kept. I went in for an internal ultrasound and a mammogram. I was extremely nervous about these procedures and the sonographer refused to allow my husband in with me for ultrsound. The ultrasound room was a huge room with extra seating so I was confused why she didnt allow him in. There also was a waiting area right outside the ultrasound room and she didnt even offer for him to sit there instead she had him sit way out in the main lobby. Her bedside manner was also very abrupt and didnt make me feel very comfortable. She seemed almost robotic. The mammogram went alot better than the internal ultrasound. The person doing the mammogram made me feel like she understood the process was uncomfortable and she made sure the process was quick and seemless."
