"Dr Vanderwel was really nice to me as a child I felt like I was in good care but he took me off my hypothyroidism medication when I turned 18 because my levels were normal which has messed me up now at 25 after I got off my medication I gained 100 pounds and now I’m struggling with infertility because of this issue I should have stayed on this medication for my whole life. My OB told me I have hashimoto's which I was not tested for in this office. I’ve struggled with infertility since I was 18 because I was told to stop this medication."

"The best Endocrinologist period!!! A big city doctor, with the small town doctor/patient relationship. He doesn't just remember who you are, but he takes the time to listen to you and your concerns and questions even fears.(even at 2 am when u have a simple question, doctor- on -call page has NEVER taken more than 3 minutes to be returned by a doc from this office!) He really makes you feel like part of his family and that he truly cares about you and your well being. And for that he will ALWAYS be a part of our family as well!
