"I have waited 6 mo. to try Yosake, and was super excited. After eating here I was disappointed. Here is my official rating out of 5 stars. Atmosphere 4 stars - Service 4 stars - Food 3 stars - Value for your money 2 stars. Overall I would give Yosake 3 stars. The sashimi was 4 stars but the specialty rolls 3 stars at best and that is being very lenient. The specialty rolls were very Americanized and not authentic, and that’s what I was hoping to get when I came to Yosake. Yosake is a good place for new sushi goers or folks that want to eat sushi, but don’t want to taste the fish. My final review is 3 stars."
"So I went on a random Sunday night in the beginning of January because it had great ratings and I had sent some tictoks. I got the chicken and saag rice, which is really delicious but the fiery meat wasn’t that good It was a little empty and so there wasn’t really an atmosphere to rate, and our server was good, but a little bit too chatty and kept coming by our table to talk to us about random things. but I definitely recommend the food is really good overall and hot sake is always a plus"
"This place is a little gem in downtown Wilmington. Good is delicious, the service is awesome, and the wait time is busy but well worth the wait. There is a stair climb up to the restaurant. Street parking is competitive."
"Found our favorite sushi place in town! The place is amazing, from the food to the service to the vibe. The happy hour menu is a steal. The firecracker shrimp app is perfectly crispy. All of the rolls we had were unique with lots of flavor. The cocktails were delicious. We'll keep coming back for our sushi fix."
"Loved everything about this place. Started off with a coconut, lemongrass soup - delicious and unique! For entrees - the Kids had the burger which won their approval, my husband had fiery chicken (which did not live up to the expectation unfortunately - lacking in flavor, depth, and respectfully should be reconsidered as a whole honestly) I had the massaman curry, which was absolutely phenomenal. I'd drive back to Wilmington from Charlotte just to have that dish. Our waitress was attentive and super helpful, and the overall atmosphere was great. Will definitely have dinner here again."
