Good Steward Ministries Thrift Store is a charitable institution located at 1209 West Roosevelt Boulevard in Monroe, North Carolina. We have three convenient locations in western North Carolina where you can shop, donate, and volunteer. All are welcome to come and see us!

Our U.S.A distribution center operates off of community donations and partners with churches to pick up leftovers from yard sales. We also offer a voucher program for organizations to send people in need of clothing to our stores free of charge.
Good Steward Ministries Ghana is our distribution outlet where we send excess donations. We work with the Osenase Orphanage and the Ghana Prisons Service to minister to the needs of over 45,000 incarcerated individuals.

"The gentleman "running" the store when I was there a few weeks ago had to be the rudest man I've encountered in a long time. Not only was he blatantly disrespectful to the other workers, he was absolutely abhorrent to a customer and her child. The entire store heard him yelling at the employees from across the store. There is never a reason to treat others with such disdain. He was obviously miserable working there and he made sure everyone else was, too. I was so taken back I mentioned this to the young lady checking me out. She said, oh, people complain about him all the time. You have to ignore him. Respectfully, no. I do not have to ignore that behavior. I gathered what I did have and left immediately. I don't care what type of business you run, you do it with a positive attitude and integrity. I will never recommend this establishment to others and will not return."
"Worst EVER Thrift Experience. The manager Gary was unbelievably rude to his employees and customers. He argued with an elderly couple at the checkout over mere cents and still overcharged them. Leaving with a headache from the overwhelming smell of pot and heaven knows what else."
"If you’re looking for high prices at a thrift store, you’re in luck! If they think anything has an ounce of value, it’s priced at a premium! This place used to be fairly reasonable but not anymore. Sadly this seems to be the way most thrift stores have gone. No longer a thrift store, more so an antiques shop. They get two stars (instead of one) because the cashier was very nice!"
"First time at this thrift store... I am extremely impressed. They had a large selection of women's clothing, more than reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back!"
"I absolutely love the store, reasonable prices, a Lil addictive if you enjoy bargain hunting. Love that they give to different charities, and the Owners are Awesome. On the down side, management is very poor, Often times while trying to have a pleasant and satisfying shopping experience, you can here management yelling at customers, belittling employees, barking at parents about their children,, listening in on private conversations, and threatening to throw people out of the Store for expressing their opinion. As stated previously, I Absolutely love the store, and the Owners, and pray that they eventually do something about the clearly frustrated Elephant in the room."
