UNC Center for AIDS Research
The UNC Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) is located at 450 West Drive in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States. The institution offers a wide range of services to support HIV/AIDS research through its eight Cores. These Cores provide unique resources and expertise to researchers working in all areas of HIV/AIDS research. The UNC CFAR also has scientific working groups made up of investigators with shared research interests and goals, who participate in competitively funded research projects. Professionals from UNC-CH, FHI, and RTI can become Full Members of the UNC CFAR, while others with an interest in HIV/AIDS-related research can join as Associate Members. Recently, the UNC CFAR's Social & Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Cores co-hosted a networking event with Duke CFAR, focusing on the topic of stigma in HIV/AIDS research. The institution also supports early-stage investigators, such as Dr. Tiffany Breger, who received a scholarship to present her research at the Annual CFAR Meeting.
