Built between 1790 and 1810 by Silas Jones in what was once Rockdale, now part of Richmond County, the homestead stands as a testament to the skilled artisanship of its time. One of the unique features of the Jones-Lynch Homestead is its innovative log construction. The logs are meticulously fitted closer together in the loft area, eliminating the need for additional paneling and exemplifying the ingenuity of Quaker craftsmanship. Built in the early 1820s, the McNeill Homestead is a beautifully restored home that offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. Visitors can explore the main floor, which features a traditional rope bed, and two smaller rooms, as well as a cozy loft where children once slept.
