"nice quiet trail. well worn. you can walk into the river at some points. no trash cans or doggie bags for waste, pretty clean though. trail is historical with a landmark posting at 1 end. safe. easy. i recommend."
"Great trail running along South Fork River. Access is near I85 and also is an access point to the blueway. Trail is 2 miles end to end and the northern access point is in a residential neighborhood. Some ruins of an old bridge are asking route. A nice feature also is the presence of emergency location signs to help connect first responders to locations along the trail. Pretty easy hike."
"Great place to stroll along the river. Trail was muddy in several places. Surely somebody's got some gravel in Gaston County to shore up this trail a bit! Dog loved it but I now have shoes to demud!"
"Not surprisingly, parts of the trail were nearly flooded. About half a mile to 3/4 of a mile in it was completely flooded, forcing us to turn around and go back. We went to the other end of the trail on Willow to discover the trail was flooded near its head just beyond the bridge you go under. Still, a nice adventure to see the strength of the river after a heavy rain."
"Decent 2 mile trail. Flat but slightly muddy. Dogs, mountain bikes, trail running and just walking. Some nice river views. Launch for kayak or canoe is free as well as parking in gravel or grass."
