"Charming stay with great staff. The room was very clean and super homey. We loved our little quick stay and plan to return as soon as we can. The shower was hot, the bed was clean, the room was toasty when we arrived, there was ice in our ice box, the room couldn’t have been anymore welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!"

"I’ve been coming to this quaint little inn for many years now & it’s basically been the same. The room always smells fresh and clean when you open the door & I never feel like I have to inspect it for fear that it hasn’t been properly cleaned. The rooms are spacious & have a small dorm size refrigerator and a coffeemaker. We stayed in room 201 and there were 2 sinks- one in the bathroom and one in the room adjoining. There was complimentary face soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, cotton balls, pads, and cotton swabs. Also 2 moist towelettes for makeup removal. And of course there was coffee and condiments to go with it. The bed was comfortable and spacious. I love that this inn is right across from the Chetola Resort & you can see the grounds when looking out of your balcony. It is also very close proximity to both Blowing Rock and Boone which I absolutely love! The only negative would be that it’s a bit noisy because of people walking and moving around in the room above but that didn’t last too long and we were able to get a great night’s sleep. However, if you stay on the 3rd floor this would be no issue! They do offer a free complementary continental breakfast from 9 to 10:30 in a room across from the office when you check in. The breakfast room is very beautiful, however, I think they could add a little bit of ambience to it to make it a bit warmer. Maybe have the fireplace going and the lighting be a little bit better as it was sort of dark in there when we went in to eat our breakfast. There is coffee and lots of carbs! If you’re looking for eggs and bacon and things of that nature, this is not going to be that type of breakfast. It was basically bagels, microwavable, sausage biscuits, instant grits, and oatmeal, cereal, bars, etc. There are also juices and waters in the mini fridge there. We arrived to the breakfast at about 9:45 and it looked as if it really needed to be restocked but hadn’t been so if you’re going to get breakfast I would suggest you get there when it first opens up for your best choices. if I had to give the breakfast a rating out of five stars, I would maybe give it a three. But it’s free and not a lot of hotels/motels are doing this anymore so I was thankful for that. This inn is right across from Tanger outlets so that’s nice if you’re looking to do some shopping. It’s also quite close to Tweetsie railroad as well. Honestly, the location is pretty great and the views are very nice. I’ve stayed at several hotels in Blowing Rock throughout the years and this is one of my favorite ones. It really does feel like you’re staying in a chalet or a mountain home. The parking lot is a little bit tight so I would suggest not traveling there in a humongous vehicle. All in all, it was a nice experience and I will definitely be back again. We did check in around 6:30 that evening and there was someone there at the front desk but I believe their hours for check-in are from 3 to 9 so be aware of that if you are looking to check in after that time frame as there will most likely not be anyone there at the front desk. Also, the complimentary Wi-Fi was great and we had no issues with logging on and staying connected."

"I love everything about The Cliff Dwellers Inn! The location in Blowing Rock is great for access to the town, and everything Blowing Rock has to offer. The rooms are spacious, with a fantastic views of the mountains and a nice pond. If you’re lucky enough to catch room 305, you’ll absolutely love the corner view! The balconies are a real treat when the sun is setting. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. A definite gem!"

"This is the most beautiful little sanctuary. The views were amazing. The room was extremely clean and stocked. The bed was soft and relaxing. The hospitality was top notch- Darren was very thoughtful, kind and beyond accommodating. They have dark chocolate Milano cookies in their vending machine omg. Highly recommend and will be back soon! "We stay here every time we come to Blowing Rock and love it! I stayed here as a child and the hotel holds the nostalgia for me. If you’re looking for high end this is not the place for you. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfortable. The bathrooms are dated but that’s fine with us (part of the nostalgia!). The views are wonderful and the Inn is very convenient to local attractions. As long as they’re here, we’ll keep coming! Our stays have always been enjoyable!"
