β OpenDam Site Shelter is a campground, lodging, and park located at Reservoir Road in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, United States. Situated directly below W. Kerr Scott Dam's visitor center, the shelter offers stunning views of the dam and reservoir. With eight 8-foot picnic tables and two ADA-accessible picnic tables, as well as electric hook-ups, the shelter is perfect for gatherings and events. Visitors can also enjoy park amenities such as a boat ramp, horseshoe pit, grill, vault toilets, a museum, and Environmental Education Center.
