"We first learned about this place on a PBS show called “NC Weekend”. We have visited several times. Food is good and fresh ! The wings are full size. The pizza is wood fired. The ice cream sandwiches from Mars Hill are so good too, if you have room after all the other good food."
"Plenty of parking. Beer on tap, cider and a great menu to choose from. Stout and cider for us. You can see from main floor below the brewery production. There is a second floor above and outdoor space on main level."
"Visiting from Florida and we really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. The pizza was delicious but the jalapeño peppers were amazing! The musician they had that evening was so good! We’ll definitely be back if we’re in town again."
"Really disappointed in the pizza. The reviews showed such great looking quality made pizzas however they are far from it. Nothing like spending $18 for a pizza that is burnt in spots and not cooked in others. They could’ve just rolled it up like a rug and gave it to me. I traveled less than 0.1 miles and the pizza was cold. Took it back after seeing how it looked with basically only having toppings on one side. The manager didn’t really seem to care and argued about it. Got another bad pizza for trouble that was also cold, burnt in spots and undercooked in others. This is my last trip to Homeplace and pizza joint."
