"I stayed at Wake Med North for 19 days and I thought I was going to die. I had to force my discharge because the nurse reduced my oxygen from 2.0 to .5 without monitoring me. At home I sleep on 2 liters of oxygen. I kept going in and out of hypoxia all night without the nurse responding to my calls. I have no memory of an entire day. Patient care says they are sorry my expectation were not met. This was a medical necessity with me fighting Covid and pneumonia. I know have to get therapy because of anxiety and not being able to sleep because of the experience."

"My fiance' and I came to this hospital, on 11/28/23 because he felt very weak and tired, so we went to the Emergency room. Turned out he needed to stay a couple of days.  It didn't take long to get taken to a room to stay. The doctors and nurses were wonderful. They were very knowledgeable and kind. Explaining everything to us and what needed to be done to make my fiance ' better.  Since we had not known that we were going to stay overnight, much less for a couple days, unfortunately we weren't prepared with food.  I was not able to go anywhere to get food because I am disabled and in a wheelchair, I also don't drive. The nurses were amazing bringing me food, they didn't need to do that. That was not their job. I would not have left my fiance ' anyway because he was extremely ill. Everyone we encountered was extremely amazing! We could not have asked for a better hospital experience."

"My 10 year who is autistic needed to be sedated to do an MRI and Heart testing yesterday and wow was I impressed. They did every single thing I asked about to make it easier for him and more. The entire staff was very impressive from the receptionist to the volunteer who made the beautiful blanket and pillowcase which he curled up in on the way home. The nurses were just incredible with him and me. Even the people who did the testing were so sweet and spoke to him telling him what was happening even though he was sedated and asleep. I would insist on coming here again if he ever needed anything done. Thank you so much it means the world to this mom to have that level of care."

"I delivered my first baby here. The staff in L&D were incredible. They prioritized my comfort the entire time. Most notably my nurse Meagan was amazing. She practically delivered my baby herself. I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s an asset to this hospital and I really lucked out having her be apart of my delivery experience. I wish I had her last name, she deserves a raise. My health and the health of my baby were made a priority and I felt like I was in great hands from start to finish. I delivered my second baby recently out of state and it made me realize even more so how great my care was in this hospital. I’d be hard pressed to say many people would have a better experience anywhere else!"
