"Utterly disappointed. I've been having chest pains and pain in left arm, instead of bringing me in immediately they suggested I should go somewhere else or urgent care. Dr. Murray is my family doctor, he probably doesn't even know what his staff at appointments is doing. This is the third time I couldn't get an appointment on time."

"After having to leave our amazing functional primary care physician due to a switch of insurance, my daughter and I saw Dr. Avery for our basic health and thyroid care. My daughter has been very successful in her hypothroid treatment using natural dessicated thyroid when synthroid did help. She's used this medication for at least 5 years. She went on her own to see Dr. Avery to get a check up and a refill and this doctor tried to get her to stop this medication and go back to synthroid because she doesn't trust it. She said she wasn't going to argue with her about it but she didn't want to prescribe it. Why when it has greatly improved her symptoms? I've also saw Dr. Avery one time and wasn't thrilled with her lack of eye contact and strange behavior. I also did not receive a refill on my NDThyroid medication. And I felt shamed about my anxiety medication. We will try another provider from this office and I'll update later."

"If there was an option for zero stars that is exactly what I would give the medical assistant Jennifer!! I had the opportunity to visit this establishment for the first time and needless to say it will most definitely be my last time!! I had a terrible experience with the medical assistant Jennifer she is by far the worst and has the personality of a rock in other words none. She came in did not introduce herself and went straight to asking questions first off ma’am who are you let’s start there. Her bedside manner is the worst I have ever seen.If she continues to stay in the medical profession she needs to take some classes on customer service just the experience alone will leave a distasteful feeling about this practice and make you not even want to be bothered! However the doctor I saw was great but Jennifer was horrible with a capital H!!"

"Don't try to book here if you're a primary care patient at any other WakeMed location. Even though the online portal asks "are you a patient of WakeMed Primary Care"...which I most definitely am and have been for years, just in downtown...I get a call telling me I can't have the appointment their own system let me book. There are dozens of available appointments online for a physical in the coming weeks, but a "new patient" (which again, according to your own portal I am NOT) has to wait til July. What a joke. Guess they prefer to let their doctors have open, unbooked appointments."
