The layout extends south to Spartanburg, S.C. and east to Spencer, N.C., with a Carolina and Northwestern railroad line that travels through Lenoir and Mortimer before joining the W.M. Ritter logging railroad at Edgemont. The club also has a G Scale All-Weather Layout located outside behind the Depot. Using a Digital Command Control (DCC) radio system, members operate a wide variety of locomotives and rolling stock on the layout.
