Welcome to the Maxton Town Office, a cornerstone of local government located at 201 McCaskill Avenue, Maxton, North Carolina. The town has undergone several name changes—from its incorporation as Shoe Hill in 1874, to Tilden and Quhele, before finally becoming Maxton in 1887, in honor of its Scottish settlers.
