"Dr. Farren made a fantastic first impression as a geneticist and person. He was welcoming, kind, helpful, understanding, and knowledgeable during our 1 hour visit."
"Genetics should be taken seriously. A test should be ran. No matter the fear, we live with fear every day of catching something or possibly dying. I could've known to set my children up on a healthier diet and better exercise (which I do still plan to do). Hearing "we aren't doing it because, nobody should live in fear." That is a crock. Their whole family has been wiped out by cancer. At least we would know the signs, we could be more cautious. At least insurance paid you, right?"
"Horrible experience. When in for genetic testing doctor order labs after visit. The doctor and my family walk to lab at 4:54pm. My daughter is in a wheelchair and when we came in the lab laboratory the nurse had attitude and instantly denied my daughter service when the doctor threatened to call administrator because the lab was closed at 5pm the change the minds. They wanted to now service my child but at this time she was scared and did not want to hold arm out. They told me if my 8 year old daughter doesn't hold her arms out to he cannot get lab work. I ask them what child holds there arm out for blood work. They just look at me. This was bad customer service discrimination against my disabled daughter. This happened at Levine Children's Specialty Center. I visited Pineville hospital the next day and it was wonderful. The nurse was patient and they was able to get my daughter blood work. Tell me how the children center was able to help my child but when I go to a different hospital they was able to get it done. Shame on the Levine Children's Specialty Center. Sad Story. They should just leave it to professional."
