Agriculture & History Museum
Welcome to the Agriculture & History Museum, part of the North Carolina Rural Heritage Center, located at 13021 X Way Road, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Our museum celebrates the vibrant historical and cultural tapestry of Scotland County and its neighboring areas. Anchored by the iconic John Blue House, a rare example of Steamboat Gothic architecture, the center invites you to explore a captivating journey through time. The centerpiece of our heritage center, the John Blue House, stands as a testament to the architectural beauty of the past. Although currently undergoing structural repairs, the house remains a stunning landmark, and our grounds and museums are open to the public. Nestled amidst a serene grove of pecan trees, the Heritage Village offers you a unique opportunity to step back into the rural Carolinas of the late 1800s. This charming village features reassembled homesteads, a barn, a cotton gin, and even its own general store, providing a vivid glimpse into the past.
