This is from the lady in patient registration who wished me well seeing how scared I was of my impending to surgery, to the nurses - always professional and helped me maintain my dignity, to the young lady who wheeled me out of the hospital. She encountered some very unpleasant folks in the elevator and handled it with aplomb. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else."

"I feel so blessed that my cardiologist is Dr. Joshua Vega with Eastern WakeMed Heart & Vascular on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh. It so fortunate that I live within 5 miles of WakeMed and am under the care of an awesome heart team. When I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) in November of 2019 my heart's ejection fraction rate was 20. This placed me under the care of the Advanced Heart Failure Team. Due to God, the care I received along with medication, diet, and following my doctors instructions, my ejection fraction rate today is 55. I am no longer under the care of the Advanced Heart Failure Team. My team now consists of Dr. Joshua Vega, cardiologist, Dr. Hegde my nephrologist, and the amazing Dr. Li Zhou at Knightdale Family Medicine, and Dr. Segnia at Knightdale Pharmacy. I am so blessed to have such an Amazing and Awesome team."

"I was in the ER for 12 hours Sunday. I had an episode of AFib again that needed to be treated with cardioversion. Oh, every person I came in contact with, during my care was caring, efficient, and pleasant to deal with while I was feeling badly. I was treated with respect, and I felt they really cared about making you feel better. I am so glad that my husband decided to drive the extra few miles to go to Raleigh, as we live in Cary. We had heard good things about the heart and vascular center there. Highly recommend using this facility if you are in need of medical attention, dealing with your heart!
