"My husband and I went here for lunch today! Our waitress was Trena she checked on us regularly and was very nice! We had the Gyro platter & the Portobello Chicken. We was both VERY happy with our orders. I must say the chicken was cooked excellent best I’ve had in a long time! And my husband really enjoyed their house made Tzatziki sauce! We will most definitely be back!"

"Gus's restaurant has been a longtime staple in Monroe serving great food .. Now under new ownership with a completely remodeled restaurant they have raised the bar , the food is excellent . We tried it with friends for lunch on Sunday , on Sunday you can have breakfast or lunch . Three of our party had breakfast & one tried lunch . If you are truly hungry, try one of their large breakfast combos. It is sure to keep you full most of the day. They come with three eggs , choice of grits , hash browns , or home fries . More than one meat plus either pancakes , french toast or Belgian waffle depending on which you order . Very hearty . I tried a Grecian Omelette which was filled with olives. tomato , feta cheese & more . It was amazing & so delicious. I had grits & a biscuit . I ordered a side of sausage gravy to go with my biscuit , it was delicious, thick , full of sausage & flavor ! Another in our party had the hamburger steak , with yams , fried okra & roll . I of course tasted a bit of this & that , the vegetables were very good as was the hamburger steak . The gentlemen in our party went with the hearty breakfast combos. If you order one be hungry . Gus's has a new menu with great breakfast items & something for everyone. Lunch & Dinner has great plates with meatloaf, hamburger steak , beef liver , and much more country style favorites . They offer lots of other items such as fish , sandwiches, salads , plus lots more . We all enjoyed a wonderful meal & will definitely be visiting again very soon . Gus's is open Sunday 7 am till.3 pm , Monday-Friday 5 am till 9 pm , Saturday 7 am till 9 pm . I also must compliment the front of house staff in Gus's , these ladies are efficient, hard working. ladies who take care of customers & keep things clean & orderly ."

"Great home cooking little restaurant. The food was amazing. Great service and prices are appropriate to the market. Weekends they serve breakfast longer which we love do to sports and sleeping in. Definitely a place to check out!"
