Drendel Auditorium
● OpenDrendel Auditorium is located at 243 3rd Avenue Northeast in Hickory, North Carolina. It is part of the SALT Block, overseen by the SALT Block Foundation (SBF) which supports various resident organizations such as the Catawba Science Center, Hickory Choral Society, Hickory Museum of Art, United Arts Council, and Western Piedmont Symphony. The Foundation covers most of the building expenses, allowing the resident organizations to focus on providing exceptional programs and exhibits. The SALT Block also offers affordable event and meeting spaces. Community events and fundraisers are regularly held at the SALT Block, showcasing the creativity and talent of the local community. The SALT Block Foundation publishes "SALT Stories," a journal that tells the story of the building's transformation from Claremont High School to its current state.
