Founded by Ninya Holbrook, also known as "Miss Brooks," who has been dancing since she was 4 years old and has a passion for teaching dance to young students. She started her dance journey at Stephanie's School of Dance and has since made a name for herself in the dance community. Miss Brooks has taught at various local dance studios and worked for the City of Statesville before opening her own studio, The Academy of Rhythm & Movement, in 2010. The studio was later renamed Brook's CHOREOGRAPHY & Co in 2015. The institution is now conveniently located on Highway 29 between Salisbury, Landis, and North Kannapolis.
