Established in 2007, the school initially served students in middle school grades 6-8 and was recognized as a School of Distinction in 2011. In 2014, the institution moved to a larger facility and expanded to include grades 6-12. Charlotte Secondary School graduated its first senior class in 2016, with 32 out of 36 graduates enrolling in a 2 or 4-year college.
