"Today January 20, 2020 at approx 1130am your truck on I-40E near the Waterville Rd/Tobes Creek Rd Exit (between Knoxville & Asheville) deliberately swerved at my vehicle carrying my wife, 3 kids ages 8-6-4 & obviously myself in an act of road bullying. The truck — which I had no prior contact with— was apparently participating in what is commonly called vigilante driving where the driver was taking the law into his own by deciding the 2 eastbound lanes needed to merge miles ahead of an upcoming lane closure, and to this point I remember passing more than one sign stating vehicles are to merge at the lane closure. Regardless I needed to take an upcoming exit so my child could use the restroom and your driver swerved into my exit lane (as the third lane opened up for the exit) and came within 1-2 inches of putting me into a cement guardrail that was protecting against at least a 100ft drop off. When I looked over at him I saw a white, male driver in his mid-thirties with a thin beard staring at me. This driver came within 1-2 inches (or less) of causing a major — certainly fatal — accident. This driver bullying is not legal and I’m not going to sweep this under the rug or forget about it. I’m not going to let this go until I have confirmation that action is being taken against this driver. Please confirm your action plan."
