This remarkable homestead, believed to be of Quaker origin, showcases exceptional craftsmanship that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region. Built between 1790 and 1810 by Silas Jones in what was once Rockdale, now part of Richmond County, the homestead stands as a testament to the skilled artisanship of its time. One of the unique features of the Jones-Lynch Homestead is its innovative log construction. The logs are meticulously fitted closer together in the loft area, eliminating the need for additional paneling and exemplifying the ingenuity of Quaker craftsmanship.
