Heather Hazlett is a health institution located at 101 Renee Lynne Court in Carrboro, North Carolina, United States. Dr. Hazlett is a licensed psychologist with a background in child neuropsychology, holding a B.S. in Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College, an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in School Psychology specializing in child neuropsychology from the University of Georgia. She completed her Psychology Internship at Children’s Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Hazlett's research interests focus on brain development in autism and fragile X syndrome, using brain MRI scans to study brain structure and maturation. She uses specialized image analysis tools to compare brain development in children with autism and related disorders to typical brain development, investigating how variations in brain development impact behavior and development. Dr. Hazlett also conducts developmental and psychological assessments to examine the relationship between brain and cognition.
