Dollar General

"I use to love this store but the past few months the main lady that works there. The boss or manger I guess the one with the short grey hair. She’s completely changed. She use to be very nice but she’s been so aggressive and rude lately. I thought at first I had done something wrong and tried harder to be polite. I can’t stand anyone mistreating retail workers and fully support that retail workers should be able to stand up for themselves with bad customer however I’ve seen her treat EVERYONE badly for months so and so has my family/Friends that shop here and she’s just been getting more and more rude to customers. At one point I saw a flash of the work uniform, and then a minute later, a woman yelling at one at the employees about something like full on screaming at her. I couldn’t tell for sure if it was the gray haired lady, but it wouldn’t surprise me.. she also seems to no longer care to do her job properly in anyway shape or form. I’ve had stuff break on the way home because she couldn’t take two seconds to double bag it. Even without a line behind me.I saw her bite a teen boy head off for asking a simple question in incredibly polite way. Her attitude change has obviously greatly infected the staff as well. It’s been clouded early due to “no help” how many times??? The store went from having a few change over employees, but mainly it was the same group of people. To literally having someone new every single time I walk in there, which isn’t surprising if she’s that nasty to customers I can’t imagine how badly she might treat her employees. Again, I don’t believe retail workers should be forced to be overly polite and I believe they should be able to stand up to themselves to Karen customers, but if you hate your job that much u can’t do the most basic customer service or just be nice????? , that doesn’t seem fair to the consumers or the workers. I went from going to the store on a weekly basis, since it’s so close to my house to the extra 15 minutes to the other one because of her behavior. Glad I Don’t shop here anymore . It’s ridiculous to just be belligerent and rude to polite and kind customers."

"I usually LOVE this DG, but not today. Staff were moving shelves, which wasn't a problem. The issue was how unprofessional they were.... hollering across store, loud talking, one flipping another one "off" not at all the atmosphere I usually experience. Asked one where the potting soil was.....not a friendly nor helpful response. Disappointed to say the least"

"I was there today..very rude cashier..told me to hurry up and I was unloading my groceries to put on counter..i know this mess is going around..there was nobody behind me.. She was slim in her late 30 to early 40s long black hair..and wears glasses I don't appreciate her being so rude.. I will find another dollar store to go to if her attitude don't change.. She needs Lose the attitude or I will call Corp headquarters.."

"Let me start by saying I love Dollar General however, this particular store always has large carts full of unpacked merchandise blocking the isle. It is already difficult getting a buggie through. The employees are helpful and the store is very clean just need to keep unpacked merchandise is the stockroom."

"I frequent this store once or twice a week. Always had a good experience. However today when I stopped by today to get a few household items I was stopped outside by an employee that told me to LEAVE THIS PROPERTY! GET OUT! YOU STOLED FROM MY STORE! Long story short...This man thought that since we walked in and walked out quick the previous weekend that we had stolen something! (They didnt have what I was looking for and we had somewhere to be). So apparently there is a time limit on how long you have to shop before you're accused of stealing. I have never stolen anything in my life and for this man to accuse me of something so horrible I am furious!! I will never not only shop at the store in Mt Airy NC but I will never frequent DG again!"
