    Single Brothers House

    Single Brothers House is an institution located at 600 South Main Street in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. The institution is closed on various holidays throughout the year, but is open from Wednesday to Saturday every week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitors can explore the Home Moravian Church’s 1800 Tannenburg Organ, exhibits about travel, music, and the 1950s model of the town of Salem, as well as the Old Salem Research & Archaeology Lab. The Frank L. Horton Museum Center houses galleries, including The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, which are open for self-guided tours and research by appointment. Visitors can also explore the iconic Vogler House, Salem’s gunsmiths, the history of Salem’s Tavern, and traditional craftsmanship of 18th century woodworking. The Single Brothers House historically housed single young men aged 14 to 21 who were apprentices in various trades. The institution also offers tours of the oldest standing school dedicated to the education of boys in America, as well as the Apothecary Shop and exhibit on "The Moravian Way of Health and Healing".
