Mary Elizabeth Hospital, located at 1100 Wake Forest Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, was established in 1914 as the city's first private hospital. The institution's main building, constructed in 1920 by hospital founder Dr. Harold Glascock, originally housed forty-nine beds in a modern facility.
