"Unique setup..... kitchen is for all guests, just like at home! Prepare whatever you want. Great fireplace in main room. King bed was marvelous. Patio ok but could use a fresh redo."

"Good heavens. Arrived at check-in time and waited, along with two other couples, for 40 minutes before the proprietor even showed up. We had to guess which room was ours, as there was no one to meet us, nor any instructions emailed nor no notes left. After the six of us milled around for a while in the absence of any help, or even a note on the door, the owner finally arrived and was, shall we say, not exhibiting a lot of hospitality. She said she was late because she'd been in the mountains all day. So had the six of us, yet we managed to be there on time ... and it wasn't even our business. When we eventually decided to leave, she physically blocked out way. Had this been a man, we would have come to blows at this point. Getting physical with guests is not appropriate, even if you are a female. I told her to move out of our way so we could leave, I was not in a mood to further debate the circumstances. However, I politely demurred further contact and decided to go on my way. We decided to check back out and go to the local Holiday Inn. The Campbell House can keep our money. You may read the rest of the the reviews on this lodge and make up your own mind."

"We've enjoyed staying at the Campbell House three times this summer, in three different rooms and intend to go back. The house is lovely, decorated in an elegant but comfortable manner. The breakfast is always an interesting play on the basics, and the hospitality is truly welcoming. Elaine is a delightful hostess, and professional in running every aspect of the B&B. Parking on street is available, and an easy step across the street to the Trattoria and short walk to downtown Brevard."

"Cozy, rustic, quaint, and convenient. This bed and breakfast has been well upgraded from what it was under previous owners. The decor is tasteful and the innkeeper, Elaine, is an excellent host. The b&b is right there in the main stretch of downtown brevard. A very short walk to shops, art galleries, resturants and bars. We stayed in the buckhorn gap room and though the bathroom was a bit small it was very comfortable and authentic. The breakfast was really good as well. I would definately recomend this spot for those wishing to spend a couple days in the brevard area."

"We just spent two nights at the Campbell House on West Main in Brevard, NC. The Campbell House is loving owned and operated by Elaine who purchased the house 2 years ago. Elaine pours her heart into the business and it shows. The home is beautiful and all five rental rooms are warm and inviting. If you are reading this, you probably are familiar with B&Bs. I travel a lot for business and stay in dozens of hotels over the course of year and the Campbell House is a welcome departure. If you are expecting a luxury bathroom and high speed internet, the good news is that you won't find either at Campbell House. Disconnect from the internet and make time to talk to Elaine and the other guests. Elaine has been in Brevard more than 35-years and is a delight to talk too. Be sure to find time to sit on the balcony and enjoy the day - you will be glad the you did. Breakfast is at 8:30am family-style and you shouldn't miss that either. The food is fantastic and we were also fortunate to meet other guests who were a real pleasure. The Campbell House is located at the West end of Main Street. Two very good restaurants for dinner are one block east and across the street. There are a wide range of excellent restaurants within walking distance. We always enjoy Mayberry's for lunch and Jamie's is excellent for dinner. Honestly, there are so many good places that you almost can't go wrong. On a nice day, the small shopping area on Main Street is just 5-blocks away. We are fans of Brevard. Our daughter has been going to Brevard College for two years and we are stilling discovering how great it really is. If you are in the area, we can highly recommend the Campbell House."
