Miki's Home Doggy Day Care & Hotel
“Miki had our fur baby for a week while we went on holidays and for the first time I didn’t worry about her when we were away. Miki made us feel so comfortable and poppy just loved her. She even sent us photos and wee up dates. Such a great service we will definitely use again”
Hillyard House Hotel
“After a recent last minute visit, we are already trying to plan our return trip! A true hidden gem, not to be overlooked. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we cannot speak highly enough of them, they all had a smile on their face and chatted away to us even after a busy new years weekend. The location is ideal for anyone visiting Castlewellan Forest Park (which is also unreal). We ate at The Yard Restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and have absolutely no complaints - food and cocktails were delicious. The rooms are bigger than you'd expect, while still being cosy. They are spotlessly clean, as are the spacious bathrooms. The only negative we found was that we didn't allow ourselves enough time to spend here. Overall - we loved it here, and cannot wait to return soon. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!”
D&G Luxurious V.I.Pet Hotel
“Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Theo our puppy has been visiting from July when he was just 8 weeks old. Sometimes for day care, sometimes a night or two, other times for the BEST wash ever!!! He even had his first hair cut with Roisin. Yep they wash and groom also, 5* service. One stop shop. Your doggy will never smell or be so clean. Love the videos and photos you receive during their stay. The place is amazing, as are Arlene and Roisin. Every dog treated as their own. I knew the first time I left him off he was gonna be well looked after. Maybe too well looked after.... the little devil cried when we lifted him today after a two night stay. If that isn’t a recommendation I don’t know what is. If your looking a home away from home for your pet, this is the place to go. So glad I found it, would be lost without them now. Thank you ladies from myself and wee Theo x”

“Absolutely brilliant my two love going on their holidays to the pet hotel. You can tell as they jump from the car and run to the door to get inside. Without looking back. “Just back from an overnight at this hotel for my husbands birthday. Got a deal which included wine and chocs on arrival and 2 course dinner. From the moment we arrived the young lady behind reception couldnt have been more helpful, no sooner were we in our lovely room when our drinks and a delicious plate of homemade goodies arrived. Dinner later on was served in restaurant again staff couldnt be more helpful. Breakfast was amazing no complaints from us. Clonmurr B&B
“Fantastic welcome to Northern Ireland! Very friendly and helpful, very good breakfast, it was a great experience staying here. Beautiful location.”
Conlyn House B&B
“This B&B was recommended by a relative due to so many positive aspects all of which were correct. The location provides fabulous and inspiring sea and mountain views. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and individually themed. The service from the owner, Maria, is second to none and she was so welcoming, friendly and attentive. My partner and I stayed for two nights at the end of June and we were given a fantastic room with a balcony. The house itself was easy to find and I used Google maps for straightforward directions, it is basically located parallel to the promenade and a short distance from the Slieve Donald Hotel. There is a service tray with tea and coffee in the room and the breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, I availed of the large fry on both mornings and it was great. I can't recommend this B&B highly enough and it is certainly the place to stay when visiting Newcastle.”
Willowtree Glamping
“Fantastic place to stay near the Mourne Mountains. Very clean, had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. “A really lovely place to stay. Gorgeous house, lovely comfortable rooms with beautiful views over Carlingford Lough. So peaceful! The owners, John and Anne, make you very welcome to their lovely home. The food is great too! We've always had a great time on the many occasions we've stayed.”
Safe Haven
“Wow, what a place. If you want a quiet and peaceful night's sleep? This is the place to go. Set at the foot of the Cooley mountains, it's situated away from the main roads. Spacious rooms, soft beds and pillows. Owner Mark did everything possible to make our stay 5 star, thanks again Mark. If you are thinking of staying around Carlingford or close by? Do not, I repeat, do not book anywhere else until you look up Safe Haven B and B.”
Dundrum Inn
“Fantastic Pub / Restaurant, amazing food and always a great atmosphere. Also dog friendly in the front bar, where you can also eat, which is a big bonus as most other venues in the local area do not allow dogs inside. They also have one of the best beer gardens I've ever seen, a real sun trap.”
Arley House B&B
“Really enjoyed or night in the lovely refurbished room and a nice breakfast Arlene is a great hostess cannot recommend enough”
Murlough Cottage Caravan Park
“Strict but very well run & when like this it makes perfect stay - just wish tents were allowed (not all people/families are noisy etc who stay in tents) if this would be the case my kids would be able to interact with family who have caravans on-site”

Mayobridge Boarding Kennels and Cattery
“Top Class!! The minute you arrive and meet the owners and see how well they look after the dogs you mind is at ease. Brilliant kennels. I am leaving my dogs in again twice in the summer, very my happy.”
Carneyhall Kennels
“What can I say? I adore this place! The staff are amazing and so dog oriented its a weight off your shoulders. Its so reassuring when you know that the people you are leaving your furbabies with will look after them as you do. When we first went to inspect it and book Abbie on, I knew immediately that this wasn't like the other boarders I had tried in the greater newry area. There was a wee pup in the office on a small bed. Very friendly. The staff said she wasn't doing ok in the kennel n preferred human contact so they let her stay with them during the day. I knew from then that Abbie would be happy here. They cared about the dog. I Highly recommend Carneyhall Kennels cant say enough good things about the staff.”
Walkers Nest
“Wonderful stay at Walkers Nest. Room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable, everything required is available to the last little detail.
