South Shore Nature Center
The South Shore Nature Center is a public nature center located in East Islip, New York, operated by the Seatuck Environmental Association in partnership with the Town of Islip. This 200-acre preserve, established in 1977, features mature forests, wetlands, and a salt marsh along the Great South Bay. Visitors can explore miles of trails and boardwalks, view interactive exhibits, live animals, and dioramas at the visitor center known as the Orr Wildlife Learning Center. The Nature Center is open to the public daily, with additional weekend hours at the visitor center.
