Nature Trek is a unique park located at 2300 Southern Boulevard in New York, United States. This interactive outdoor experience offers a village in the trees where visitors can explore wavy bridges, crawl through elevated tunnels, and even balance on wiggly surfaces. The structures are safe, fully netted, and accessible for all ages to enjoy. Adult supervision is required for the climbing structure, which is designed for ages 3 and up. In addition to the exciting adventure at Nature Trek, visitors can also enjoy the Bronx Zoo with their admission ticket. Stroller parking is required, and guests must self-park their strollers before entering the exhibit. For those looking for even more animal encounters, becoming a WCS Member allows access to the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, and Prospect Park Zoo, as well as the opportunity to book a Wild Encounter with their favorite animals.
Huckleberry Island Campground
Huckleberry Island Campground is a beautiful and unique camping destination located on Lake George in Fort Ann, New York. Accessible only by boat, this campground offers 387 shoreline campsites spread out over 44 state-owned islands. Divided into three groups - Glen, Long, and Narrow Islands - each group has its own headquarters for site registration. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities including fishing, hiking, bird watching, boating, and sailing. Dogs are prohibited on the islands, docks, and vessels moored at docks. Please note that there is a $3/night refuse surcharge imposed for Lake George Island camping permits to cover operating costs for refuse management.
