    Highlands Castle

    ★★★★★ 4.8
    Open

“Proposed at the Highlands Castle and it was just a surreal experience. This is the nicest property I have ever stayed at. The royal bedroom is as luxurious and elegant as it gets. Cant get over the grand hall and views from the terrace. Above all however, John and Yvonne were what made this place special. Two of the most amazing people we have ever met. They went above and beyond to make sure our proposal weekend was full of joy and happiness. Cant say enough about them and what they have created with this castle.”

“Great value - so much fun with a group of 6! Comfortable axe-mosphere (sorry couldn’t help myself) and great instruction from Julia! The variety of games was nice & kept things from being too monotonous. Thanks Saxon Hall for being awesome ! Oh yeah - and the churros were fantastic!”

    Knaus Wine Bar And Gallery

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Closed

“I love this place. There is always something new to discover in the gallery and the food and wine is never short of amazing. Sarah knows her wine, so if you are open to suggestions, ask her for a recommendation. I love making a day of going over the Walkway Over the Hudson from Poughkeepsie to Highland, stopping at the Knaus Gallery and Wine Bar for a bit of sustenance, and then heading back. If you haven't been there yet, go. You will be welcomed and made to feel at home like you are an old friend.”

    Lilac Adventure Zone

    ★★★★★ 4.8
    Open

“This was such a neat space! Plenty of room for the kiddos to engage in “risky play”! My kids loved exploring the hideaways and special spots worked into the play area. We went early on a spring morning and had the area to ourselves, so it would be interesting to see if it’s as enjoyable when it’s busier. I definitely appreciated the pavilions to the side — seems like a nice space in the warmer summer months. I’m so grateful to live in an area where natural play spaces are being embraced! This is a treasure.”

    ROC Cinema

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Open

“The popcorn was amazing and so was the BLT. The cocktails were excellent as well. I loved the experience of being served at your seat. The woman next to me had a hard time figuring out how to order on her phone, so I helped her. Keep that in mind if you're not so great with technology. I would definitely reccomend Roc Cinema.”
