"If I could rate 0 stars, I would. My grandfather went to DiStefano for loss of sensation in one half of his body that was then diagnosed as his spine constricting around his spinal cord. The surgeon did not give him the correct aftercare instructions, and he ended up opening his surgical site. The wound had become severely infected at the point where we realized it was open. He had to go in for a second surgery for them to cut out the infected tissue. Ever since, I have watched this man lose control over his life. He cannot walk, or stand for extended periods without intense pain, he can barely do anything anymore. He saw a provider recently for this issue that has not subsided in the least bit, and after looking over him, they told him that they had PERFORMED THE WRONG PROCEDURE. Do not trust this doctor. He took years of a happy retirement from him that he could've spent enjoying himself. Shame on DiStefano."

"What a jerk! My mother, who is dealing with advanced scoliosis went in to get information about her condition and see if there was any treatment they might offer. She is in constant pain, doing physical therapy and went to him for information. He told her she wasted $30, and gave her no information about her condition, gave her a fist bump and walked out."

"Dr. Distefano and SOS as a whole has been great throughout this whole process of my dealing with excruciating pain in my lower back. At my initial appt, we went over my MRI. He gave me my options and was willing to answer all of my questions and did so efficiently and matter of factly, which I truly appreciate as a medical professional myself. When the spinal block injection did not work, I called to schedule the surgery he recommended and the office was great and so helpful. I was scheduled for surgery within a month and at this time am scheduled to go in 4 days. Everyone has been so helpful, I’ve been in constant contact with SOS staff and at my pre-op appt Dr. Distefano again answered any and all questions I had and made me feel a lot more at ease about having back surgery.
