    The Learning Ladder

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Closed

“The owner and teachers are amazing. They are very welcoming and always open to talk if you have any questions or concerns. My son enjoys going and has taken very well to the teachers and the school setting atmosphere. He is learning and progressing more and more everyday thanks to their attention to each student. The class room setting helps to prepare the children for a school which is great. Would definitely recommend!”

“Before this school came here, my wife and I were seriously looking into moving to another city, because we did not want our two kids to go to some of the schools here (both of us finishes schools in Utica, and saw over the years how the whole district is declining). We were losing hope for Utica. There was news about charter coming to the area, and without knowing anything about it, we didn't go around and listen to rumors, instead we contacted them directly and informed ourselves about the school. We are very concerned about education of our kids, and we are very picky. When it comes to UASCS, I have zero complaints, zero negative things to say about it. I look at Charter school from all points of view, as a parent firstly, I love the communication and involvement we have as parents. From a student's point of view, it is a very fun learning environment, this school has not only local but INTERNATIONAL trips for students!!! Teachers are very helpful, and willing to go out of their way in order to help or find a way to help, (unfortunately I cannot say the same about most teachers in the district, which is not only sad but scary). As a tax payer, I have to mention the budget that this school works with and how it is handled. They get significantly smaller amount of money per kid than the district gets (yet they offer and do more), secondly they don't go spending several million of tax payers' money on a cafeteria with glass walls and what not... They do not have to go through commercial contractors, instead they can hire locally owned businesses and/or individuals for such things (not only does it cost just a fraction of what the district pays but it also saved our tax money (our taxes are high enough already). I could go on for days about this school and everything that I LOVE about it. Don't listen to me, don't listen to others, do what I did, go there, call them, email them and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with them, don't just judge them based on comments from a few (obviously jealous and scared) people. #informthyself”

“This is brand new mosque, grand opening took place in 2016. Beautiful mosque was built from foundation to the roof. My brothers in faith have invested plenty besides financial assets, a numberless time of hardworking labor daily. From time to time this mosque exists of help Almighty Allah swta, and marvelous union of people of west Bosnia in general. Don't let this mosque be forgotten and only visited by older populations on certain occasions. May Almighty Allah swta protect our house of unity and worshiping until day of judgment.”

“A beautiful gem tucked into a unique and historic downtown Utica building. Easy to find parking close by the entrance. Going up the steps to enter the gallery harckened me back to my parochial school days. And upon entering I once again was a student soaking up the arts. Paintings, prints, ceramics, and sculptures of all types to view and purchase. Prices vary so there is something for all levels of art collectors. The active studio spaces and classes added to the fun experience. Truly worth exploring. Looking forward to visiting again.”
