Chautauqua Striders, located at 301 East 2nd Street in Jamestown, New York, is an institution dedicated to providing academic, athletic, mentoring, and social emotional support to youth in Chautauqua County. Our evidence-based Mentoring program has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of youth in the area, and we are always looking for volunteers to help make a difference in the community. Our On-Track Tutoring Program offers in-person and online tutoring for K-12 students of all levels and abilities. Since its inception as a track club in 1979, Striders continues to offer youth track development programs and race opportunities for runners of all ages. There are various ways to get involved with our mission, including events and programming for youth K-12. Our Social Emotional Learning Facilitators lead weekly small group sessions to help participants develop the skills needed for a positive school experience.
