Ragged Edge Print Studio
Ragged Edge Print Studio is a vibrant community art space located in Cohoes, New York, where artists from diverse backgrounds come together to experiment with printmaking techniques. The studio, owned by Kathy Klompas, features a 35" wide Martech Etching Press and supports a wide range of artistic processes. From monotype to wood block printing, collagraph to silk screen monotype, the artists at Ragged Edge are constantly pushing the boundaries of traditional printmaking. Diana Bangert-Drowns incorporates embossing into her monoprints, while Sandra Rouse finds inspiration in the meditative process of wood block carving. Helga Prichard melds natural forms with printmaking, and Kathy Klompas uses color, movement, and emotion to create fluid and balanced prints. Laurel-Le Lipinski, Carole Warburton, Lauri Barnam, Susan van Heukelom, and Mary Ellen Riell all bring their unique perspectives and experiences to their printmaking experiments.
