With a strong foundation in pre-med and athletics, he continued his medical education at NYU Langone Hospital, completing a one-year rotating internship followed by a four-year Ob/Gyn residency. Dr. Bakas has dedicated over two decades to providing exceptional prenatal care and has delivered thousands of babies. He founded a prenatal care center in Westchester, NY, where he gained a reputation for his patient-centered approach. His expertise extends to advanced laparoscopic procedures and a wide range of gynecological surgeries. Throughout his career, Dr. Bakas has been actively involved in utilization review and safety committees, and was a core member of the Obstetrical Safety Initiative at his hospital.
