This old thing probably isn’t worth the time to repair or effort to source replacement parts. That didn’t stop Jerry from scouring the web and his bike pile to find a replacement for a discontinued 5 gear shifter and rear derailed. He never gave up on the project and honored his original quote despite going above and beyond to make sure I was able to get back on the road. “I came here because of a recommendation from my brother. I came here for the first time because my spokes were breaking from my bike. I went to about a dozen places in Astoria, Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst, and Corona over a couple of weeks and they all either told me no outright, asked me to bring my own spokes, or said they would have to check if they could even order them. Jimmy looked at the bike, and said no problem, just leave it here and I'll give you a call. He told me the price and how long it would take and it got done. They even (perhaps accidentallly or on purpose) fixed my electric bike motor as it had stopped working before I took it there for the spokes, and afterward started again. It took 2 different fixes, once with cheaper spokes, and once with more premium spokes, these were the only guys willing to fix my bike from beginning to end and saved me a lot of grief riding the bus.”
