"Website for Indian visa desk in NY says open until 4:00 PM. Went there today at 3, long train ride from Brooklyn. Was informed that the desk closes at 1:30, too bad what the website says. This is either an incompetent or malicious or today uncaring outfit. Why has the Indian govt outsourced its visa operations to VFS???? Political connections or graft is my guess! By the way, if you call their help desk they will ask for your credit card so they can charge you after the first 5 minutes. Are you catching on? This is NOT an organization that is trying to do what’s best for customers."

"Great experience! I visited this application center for French visa. I was able to find an open appointment slot in the next week, the whole process from attending visa appointment took 2 weeks 2 days using UPS 2-day air service. This office estimated processing time 2-3 weeks and it was correct. Everyone was kind and professional. Make sure you print every document that is attached to French visa website email and this visa center appointment. This visa center processes visas for French embassy (passports are mailed to Washington) along with other countries so this is not an embassy itself."

"If I could I would give zero. Very bad experience I am having with them. My passport is expiring in September 2023. I started my process early I submitted my first application on 2/13/23. Total being $133.41, in that it was mentioned $75 for passport fee and plus another charges. It came as a rejection as I didn’t select change in particular, had wrong jurisdiction notary. I understood my mistakes. Resubmitted my application on 3/10/23. That time total came $159.29, $100 for passport and plus extra charges within a fee weeks they charged $25 extra for passport fee. I was like that is fine. It came as rejection again second time reasoning this time “Damaged passport was applied through normal category”. If my passport was not damaged why would I apply for damaged passport. When I submitted my passport on 3/10 my passport was NOT RIPPED, but when I received back on 3/15/23 it came as RIPPED. Someone did it on purpose. If it was DAMAGED why did something like this was not mentioned during first time rejection. Still I was like it is okay will apply third time so I started the application today and guess what now my total is coming to $242.09, now they are charging $175 for passport fee and plus extra charges. Within a month you went from $75 passport fee to $175 passport fee $100 difference. I called VFS helpline in the morning and the representative did not help. I wasted LOT OF TIME & MONEY on this. Do need help from UPPER MANAGEMENT."

"I am not surprised why the ratings are so poor. All the individuals for biometric testing were waiting in the sun for at least 30-40 mins. Had a noon appointment and was told that the person is on lunch. The process was fairly quick but not sure why can’t people be seated upstairs as there were seats empty. The place is opposite Starbucks, including pictures below for ease. The museum of broadway is coming."

"Opens at 9 am. If you reach early, you have to stand outside. Few street parking available. Parking available at opposite site of VFS office but very costly. $49 per hr. Without appointment you have to wait for at least 30 mins. There is a counter for VFS global near by entrance where you have to show the appointment latter. Once it’s verified by representative, she will suggest you to go either on 3 rd or 4th floor. I went there to withdraw my passport. It took only 10 mins. Infrastructure is just ok."
