"Sharing my experience as I personally believe the reviews online do this community no justice. My time at The Mason has been nothing short of a great experience! My apartment layout and finishes are beautiful and unique (i love the windows). I like the fact that the complex is not a HUGE building like some of the surrounding buildings I toured initially. Maintenance is prompt and the location is perfect as I commute into the city a few days a week. I would like to see more resident events so that I can get to know my neighbors. :)"

"I lived at the Mason (North Building) for 3 years, from when it opened until I was made homeless by a sprinkler system bursting and flooding the entire second floor of the building and lobby area. This was less than year after the parking garage flooded in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida and my car was totalled (along with many others). If you choose to live here, make sure you have maximum insurance, especially “loss of use”. You won’t receive any empathy, support or regard for you or your belongings from the Building Manager or landlord’s representatives. I am still waiting on a refund (incorrect amount calculated) for my August rent (in November). I had nowhere to live for over a month as my insurance cover maxed out and the Mgmt gave no details of timeline for repairs. Eventually they said it would be 4 months from the flood (Aug to end of Nov) which gave me no choice but to find an alternative place to live. Repairs started within a day of me moving my belongings out! I had to pay to move my belongings, an unplanned expense and at no fault of my own. Had I known the apartment would be uninhabitable for a long duration and I would need to move, I could have used my insurance cover for the move rather than short term stay in a hotel. Communication for those impacted was key to our decision making and significantly lacking all the way along. Be aware the North building second floor apartments were all flooded. Good luck, you’ll need it. Ubaldo (Maintenance Manager) is the only person linked to The Mason with any empathy for residents. He is a treasure!"
