● OpenThe Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation, located at 210 East Genesee Street in Fayetteville, New York, is a museum and dialogue center dedicated to bringing the important suffragist Matilda Joslyn Gage back to her rightful place in history. Founded in 2000 by Sally Roesch Wagner, the leading authority on Gage, the foundation offers facilitated visits where visitors can explore the center at their own pace, interact with exhibits, and share their own insights and ideas. The center features an exhibition of handmade commemorative plates celebrating amazing women, including one of Matilda Joslyn Gage, created by local artists Jen Gandee and Lucie Wellner. This exhibition will be on display through Spring 2024, made possible by the Statewide Community Regrants Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.
