"Dr. Cangro is as the most intelligent vet I ever had. I moved to Florida and had to leave him. I had 8 cats when I moved. The vets I use here are fair to good. I had 2 feral cats. All have died but one feral. He has become so calm and sweet. I think he has hyperthyroidism. I give him as much cat food as he wants. I don't want to traumatize him. I hope he dies peacefully when he does die. So I'm not going to take him to my vet here."
"I wanted to write a letter to let you know what a terribly upsetting visit I had with the euthanizing of my Beloved dog at your Facility. From the beginning, I had made sure to tell the people when I made the appointment and when I called in from the parking lot, how afraid chewy was being at the vet in general. When I called him the parking lot I said please make sure he doesn’t have to wait long because he’s terrified. She assured me the doctor was just finishing up with a patient OK We were taken in the girl was very nice, of course, so he goes up on the table and we were kept waiting with my shaking, terrified dog for 20 minutes! 20 minutes holding onto him and I heard the vet doctor starting an appointment across the hall before she came in to take care of my terrified dog so I held him for 20 minutes waiting shivering and shaking. Listening to the doctor across the hall we could hear the whole visit going on When the doctor finally came in, she gave him the sedative which took few seconds, which could’ve been done 20 minutes earlier and apparently he didn’t get enough of the dosage so another 10 minutes of him in fear and when she came back, she gave him a second dose, and he started having a reaction and howling and screaming. Until he finally expired. I will never forget what a terrible time he had in his final minutes or should I say hour of his life at your hands. This is not an acceptable way to be treated. I am just so upset about the whole scene. Now I feel responsible for trusting you in his last minutes. I wonder what you have to say about this horrible experience. It has been almost 6 months ago, and I still am having trouble going by the hospital. Hoping I would feel better and nothing has changed when I think of those terrible minutes Nancy Mesenbourg"
"We switched to Bellport Animal Hospital with our new puppy Tank. They are wonderful with him and very patient. When he went in for surgery they allowed me to help to not stress the boy which in all the years I have owned animals has never happened. They do care for the well being of your pets and have a wonderful staff."
"We love BAH. The staff is very friendly and professional, and they always remember and take time to greet our pup. The doctors are patient, the visits unrushed, and they take the time to explain everything. They always have our family's interests in mind when offering advice, and steer us away from costly procedures we might not need. The open space outside for the pup to walk before and after her appointment helps keep the stress levels low, and the inside is always immaculately clean. We are very thankful for the team at Bellport Animal Hospital!"
