Welcome to the Lackawanna Development Department! Located at 714 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, New York 14218, we serve as the local government office dedicated to fostering economic growth and community development within the City of Lackawanna. Our department is committed to revitalizing the city and enhancing the quality of life for our residents through strategic planning, collaboration, and sustainable development initiatives. We are thrilled to announce several exciting projects that highlight our commitment to economic development and community enhancement. Recently, the City of Lackawanna has partnered with Empire Building Diagnostics (EBD) and IT FITZ Concrete to transform over 4.7 acres of long-vacant industrial property on Alliance Drive in the First Ward. These projects are set to create new jobs and stimulate economic activity in the area. EBD will expand its operations, adding 20-30 new jobs, while IT FITZ Concrete plans to build a new office and warehouse facility.
Our Lady Of Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church
Welcome to Our Lady of Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church, a vibrant and welcoming place of worship located at 1619 Abbott Road, Lackawanna, New York. As a cornerstone of the community, our church has been serving the faithful for over a century, celebrating its rich heritage and cultural traditions. Join us in our spiritual journey through weekly and monthly services, with opportunities for confession on the first Friday of each month from 7-7:30 a.m., Saturdays from 3-4 p.m., and also upon request or 20 minutes before most Masses. For those unable to attend in person, we offer live streaming of our Masses to ensure you can participate from the safety and comfort of your home, especially during inclement weather.
