Proudly maintained by the Moriches Bay Historical Society, the Homestead offers a captivating glimpse into the lives of its final residents, John Scudder and Mary Pelletreau Havens. Originally built in 1740, the Homestead underwent a significant transformation in 1898, merging its 1750 remodel with the elegant American shingle style that was popular at the turn of the century. The Homestead is supported by the Museum Shop located in the Tuttle Farm barn, which was generously gifted as a funding resource.
