Center For India Studies
● OpenThe Center for India Studies is located at SUNY at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York, United States. Recently, the Harvard University Press published an English translation of the Kannada Mahabharata edited by the Center Director. The Center also announced the appointment of Sthaneshwar Timalsina as the new Mattoo Endowed Chair in Classical Indic Humanities. Additionally, the Center sponsored the successful IAWE 25 World Englishes linguistics conference in June 2023. For those interested in Asian and Asian American Studies and South Asian Studies, the Center offers a pathway to major/minor programs.
