Alpine Adventure Zone Natural Playground

Alpine Adventure Zone Natural Playground is a free and open-to-the-public facility located at 55 Hubbell Road in Spencerport, New York. This playground, situated within the expansive 973-acre Northampton Park, offers a variety of natural play elements such as fallen logs, tunnels, towers, swings, and a log cabin fort for children to enjoy. The playground was designed and built by Parks staff using materials harvested from County parks.

In addition to the playground, Northampton Park offers hiking, bridle, and cross-country ski trails, a downhill ski slope, a model airplane field, playground equipment, soccer fields, and a scout/youth camping area. The park also features two lodges available for rent, as well as opportunities for horseback riding.

The park is easily accessible from Route 31 or Colby St. and is a popular destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby Springdale Farm, operated by Heritage Christian Services, offers agricultural education programs and family-friendly activities. The Ogden Historical Society also runs a museum on the premises.

For those interested in radio control flying, Northampton Park has a designated flying field that requires an AMA license for use. The park also offers soccer field rentals, a sledding hill, and a ski hill with a rope tow operated by Swain Ski Resort.
